An unlikely duo recently teamed up together at the Houston Rockets basketball game. Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway and rising star Sage Northcutt were in Houston to catch the game and made an appearance on the court.
Holloway and Northcutt were saying hello to the camera when the Houston Rockets mascot decided it was a good idea to try and punk the two UFC stars.
“Clutch” agitated the two MMA fighters and eventually put on a giant pair of boxing gloves. As Holloway turned around to see “Clutch” with his dukes up, he dropped the furry foe while Northcutt went in and followed up with some elbows for good measure.
All in good fun, it is great to see MMA stars being highlighted at other massive sporting events such as NBA games. Sage Northcutt is planning to continue on his ONE journey in the weltertweight division.
Max Holloway in on a tear in the UFC featherweight division and will face fellow contender Jair Rodriguez this Saturday night in a number 1 contenders bout.
