Michael showed fans and critics why he has earned the nickname “venom” and that too against a fairly even matchup. His opponent was Charles Ontiveros. Ontiveros is a karate expert and had 17 MMA fights before he got to face Michael in the ring.
Charles’s nickname is “the American bad boy”. He was born on the 4th of
July, 1991 in the United States. He is 29 years old stands tall at 6 ft. 2 in. He is associated with the Welterweight division. His professional MMA record is 11 wins, 6 losses, and 0 draws.
The MMA fight between Michael “Venom” Page and Charles Ontiveros was a spectacle. Michael has a unique fighting style which is a mixture of taekwondo, karate, and Kung fu.
He calls it as “hands down kickboxing style”. How anyone can stand in front of this deadly man? In his MMA fight history, his most memorable knockout was on Santos with his solid knees.
This ferocious strike was awarded as “Knockout of the year” by Sherdog, Bleacher Reports, MMA Junkie and the Score, also by The World MMA Awards. As a result, Santos’ head was fractured.
But in our view, the fight between Venom and Charles was even more brutal. This happened at Bellator 144. Michael Venom Page took on Charles Ontiveros. This fight was held in front of a full Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut.
This fight did not go long because of Venom’s bloodthirsty series of elbow strikes. After scoring a takedown on Ontiveros, Michael started bashing his head with elbows and the referee had to step in to stop the fight.
When Ontiveros’s head was scanned after the fight, it was revealed that Venom broke or smashed Charles’s jaw in three places. Which made the idea of fighting Michael even more terrifying for the fighter to come.
