Recently Povetkin was ranked as the world’s fourth active heavyweight boxer.

In 2000 when he was 21 he won his first major boxing tournament. He owned WBC interim heavyweight title and WBA heavyweight title.

Teddy said that during the upbringing of Tyson there were certain things that affected Tyson’s career.

He said that Tyson was bullied in his childhood and he had to hide from his bullies to save himself. And this left an impact on Tyson for the rest of his life as he remained hiding from potential fighters who could bully him and win from him.

He said that Tyson never really faced an opponent who was not intimidated by him and that whenever he has to face someone who was not afraid of him, Tyson ended up losing the match.

He said Tyson never got tested because of his talent and physical ability. He is talented and strong at the same time. The matches he won, whatever the record was, there was no resistance. There were five matches that were real fights and he lost all of those five matches.

To be a real fighter there must be something inside you and you have to believe it. You must have trust and believe in yourself. He said you can’t lie about a few things and when the moment came and you didn’t intimidate your opponent then that is when it really matter how big your heart is and how much can you take and keep going forward.
