Mixed martial arts star Nate Diaz was seen lighting up a ‘spliff’ at UFC 270, as he watched Francis Ngannou produce a stunning comeback to retain his world heavyweight title by beating Ciryl Gane.

Ngannou utilized his wrestling skills with several takedowns throughout the fight and edge French interim champion Gane on points to unify the heavyweight division, having previously been two rounds down going into the third.

The 35-year-old’s power has earned him the reputation as one of the most fearsome knockout artists in UFC history.

Diaz made his presence known in California’s Honda Center on Saturday night, as he appeared smoking a joint in a hilarious moment.

The move sent fans in the stadium as well as at home wild with excitement, before the camera moved swiftly on to boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Diaz was in attendance supporting Brazil’s Deiveson Figueiredo who reclaimed the UFC flyweight title with an unanimous decision over Mexico’s Brandon Moreno in the co-main event.

Figueiredo’s leg kicks and standout moments swayed the judges in his favor, although the Mexican was convinced he had done enough to win the trilogy bout.

Both men talked up the chances of a fourth fight further down the line and after that showing, it would be impossible to argue against it.

With Ngannou beating Gane with the first decision victory of his career, Figueiredo won back the flyweight title that was taken from him by Moreno last year.

Diaz has been linked with a bout against Dustin Poirier, having not fought since his defeat to British favourite Leon Edwards last June.
