“You Killed Somebody!”: Chaotic Video Shows Good Samaritan Initiate Citizens Arrest On Drunk Driving Suspect

In the newly released video, Dylan Molina, 26, is seen attempting to flee the scene after he smashed into off-duty cop Alex Cervantes and his family

Shocking video from the scene of a crash in Texas shows the moments a Good Samaritan chased down a drunk driver – who ran a red light and slammed into a vehicle, killing an off-duty police officer.

In the newly released video, Dylan Molina, 26, is seen attempting to flee the scene after he smashed into cop Alex Cervantes and his family.

Cervantes died at the scene while his wife and two sons were badly injured.

The video shows a man chase Molina – who had been served 16 shots of alcohol before getting into his rental Jeep- and holding onto him so he couldn’t escape.

The man smashed into the vehicle of off-duty Euless Police Detective Alex Cervantes, who was killed upon impact. Cervantes' wife and sons were badly injured in the collision

‘You stay right there, motherf***er! You see what you did?!’ said Justin Gonzalez, the good Samaritan. ‘You f***ing killed somebody, you motherf***er!’

The video shows Molina, a now convicted felon, pacing around the scene of the accident while others stand around taking the damage in and calling the police.

Viewers can see the crashed rental Jeep as well as other good Samaritans attempting to break into the car he hit head-on.

After several seconds of pacing, Molina makes a break for it, running as a bystander records the entire situation.

In an interview with FOX 4 Dallas, Gonzalez said adrenaline kicked in and he knew what he had to do after witnessing the wreckage.

‘I wanted him down. I wanted him done with. I wanted the cops to be there to get him,’ the man told the local outlet.

In the video, Gonzalez is seen running after Molina, eventually pinning him to the ground and screaming profanities at the drunk driver.

While speaking with the outlet about the shocking video, Gonzalez offered up an apology for repeatedly using the f-word.

‘I’d like to apologize for my language I was using,’ he said.

‘At that time, I just blacked out. I had the father instincts, the dad instincts. Because two seconds later, it would’ve been my car,’ Gonzalez continued.

The head-on collision killed off-duty Euless Police Detective Alex Cervantes on impact.

The bystanders seen in the video attempting to break into the sedan Cervantes was driving prior to the crash were working to pull out his sons and wife who were pinned.

The man is chased down by Gonzalez and tackled by Gonzalez

Gonzalez said he was traveling right behind the police officer and watched the entire crash in horror.

Instantly, the good Samaritan said he knew Molina was drunk when he approached him. Gonzalez had an instinct the man was going to run.

‘Something in me was telling me he’s going to run. Something’s not right in the situation. I could feel something was not right in the situation,’ he said.

‘I figured he was still walking behind me. But at that point, it’s when he turned around and started running. At that point when he started running, something clicked again.

'I wanted him down. I wanted him done with. I wanted the cops to be there to get him,' Gonzalez said

‘And I was like what is this man doing? And I just turned around and started going after him,’ Gonzalez recalled.

It is believed that before crashing into Cervantes, Molina had been served eight double vodka Red Bull cocktails and 16 single shots, according to KDFW.

After the deadly collision, a local bartender was arrested in connection to the crash and is facing a misdemeanor charge of allegedly overserving alcohol.

‘Eight doubles, 16 single shots, is more than anybody should have in a three-hour period. Maybe even at all,’ Lake Worth Police Chief J.T. Manoushagian said.

Video of Molina inside a bar prior to the accident has been released, as well, showing the inebriated man continuing to hold a drink, even while stumbling

Video of Molina inside a bar prior to the accident has been released, as well, showing the inebriated man continuing to hold a drink, even while stumbling.

‘Clearly, not in a good place to be operating a vehicle. Clearly intoxicated. He’s holding another one of those double vodka and Red Bull drinks there, and then he simply walks away,’ Manoushagian said.

Molina will now serve 15 years in prison for his actions.

‘It’s not gonna bring Alex back, but at least he’s locked behind bars and not able to hurt another family like he did ours,’ said widowed wife Priscilla Cervantes.
